Blue Hills Reservation Revisited: Meteorological Observatory

We revisited the Trailside Museum & Blue Hills Reservation in Massachusetts again this weekend for their Fall Foliage Hike event! Again we hiked the 4.5 mile Blue Skyline loop trail. The fall colors and views of the Boston skyline were awesome, except this time, we stopped by the Blue Hills Meteorological Observatory who were offering observatory tours and sunset viewing from the rooftop for $4, an opportunity we couldn't pass up. After dark, the ski slope lights were turned on for our hike down. Click here for my previous blogpost that contains additional info, pics & links about the Blue Hills Reservation & Trailside Museum

This was our second visit here but the first time with the kids

We had the opportunity to hike down the ski slope after dark

Looking West on a clear day,  Mt. Wachusett (44 Miles) & Mt. Monadnock (77 Miles) can be seen.
